July 22, 2011: 2012 Barn Quilt Calendars

The 2012 Barn Quilt Calendars will be available for sale at the Houston County Fair Thursday August 17 through Sunday August 21, 2011.  Following the fair, they will be available at retailers throughout Caledonia.  Make sure to stop down at the fair and pick up your new calendar.

February 1, 2011:  CACTB Receives State Marketing Grant

The Caledonia Area Convention and Tourism Bureau(CACTB),has been awarded a matching marketing grant from Explore Minnesota.  The Explore Minnesota Partnership Grants are available for up to $10,000 and can be used to attract nonresident travelers to the state, as well as encourage Minnesota residents to vacation within the state. 

These funds can be used for advertising, market research and other aspects of a marketing program.  The CACTB plans to use the  funding to promote the Caledonia area as a destination for travelers and to familiarize people with the natural beauty and great businesses in the area. 

The Caledonia Area Convention and Tourism Bureau is a 501c6, not for profit tourism organization, which was formed in late 2009 for the purpose of developing, supporting, and promoting the area’s travel and tourism industry.   

Barn Quilt Auction a Success!

The Caledonia Area Convention and Tourism Bureau held a successful auction of four barn quilts at the Houston County Fair on August 21.  The group was able to raise over $2,500 for the future promotion of the area.  This event was well attended and everybody had a lot of fun.  See photos here!
